Philosophy and Objectives

These certifications stress the application of managerial techniques to eliminate or control unsafe and unhealthy conditions, behavior and other factors detrimental to people and property.

Certification Objectives:

1. Evaluating and certifying the capabilities of practitioners engaged in the administration of hazard control, product safety, and healthcare safety practice..

2. Raising the level of competence of hazard control managers and healthcare safety professionals by encouraging the use of management, leadership, and system principles.

3. Providing the status and recognition for individual practitioners who meet certification requirements.

4. Facilitating exchange of ideas to improve the administration and effectiveness of hazard control and healthcare safety programs.
